This past weekend we went to see Rembrandt and the Golden Age of Dutch Art, an exhibit on loan from the Rijksmuseum art museum in Amsterdam, Holland. Many of the paintings featured big skies with low horizons. My favorites were the ones with trees.

I used those design concepts for this painting from yesterday, done with digital oils.
