The Red Tag

We adopted these two beautiful gray kittens from Pinal County Animal Control a few weeks ago. Their new names are Willo and Wisp, they are about five months old now and they eat like there's no tomorrow, perhaps because there almost wasn't. There was a red tag on their cage at the pound, and it meant that when more cage space was needed, the cats inside would be put to death to make room. Many people assume that cute little kittens always get adopted but it just isn't true. They are dying by the thousands. So on this Thanksgiving Day, I hope to nudge anyone who has the means to please go out and adopt this weekend. You will be saving a life, or maybe even two, and they will be thankful to you every day of their lives.
